Gien Millefleurs
Millefleurs, 'a thousand flowers', was drawn for Gien by Isabelle de Borchgrave, the Belgian artist known for her painted paper couture and her botanical watercolors. Pansies, roses, camellias and other blooms crowd the surface in an abundant, informal bouquet, framed by a band of faded 'vintage' blue. Gien produces it across an unusually wide range of forms, from dinner plates and cups to trays, vases and cake stands, which makes it easy to build a whole table or a single gift around it.
Gien Millefleurs are French faience by Gien, made in the town of Gien on the Loire since 1821.
