Christofle Spatours Silver-Plated Sauce Spoon
Christofle Spatours Silver-Plated Sauce Spoon – Silver-Plate Gravy & Sauce Ladle
The Christofle Spatours Silver-Plated Sauce Spoon is crafted by Christofle, the French silversmith founded in Paris in 1830 and celebrated for nearly two centuries of silver craftsmanship.
The silver plated sauce spoon in the Spatours pattern is ideal for skimming sauces off a plate and can substitute as a fish knife. The flat-bottomed utensil was created for this purpose in 1950 by Paris’ famous Lasserre restaurant. Reflective of its 19th century roots, the Spatours collection, which was available in the first Christofle catalogue in 1862, features generous curves, decorative heels and a slender rounded ridge common in Louis XV style.
A Legacy of French Silversmithing
Every Christofle piece is produced to the exacting standards of the maison's ateliers, where traditional silversmithing techniques meet contemporary design — pieces made to be used, displayed, and passed down.
