Founded in Limoges in 1863, Bernardaud is the standard-bearer of French porcelain, still family-led after five generations. From the kaolin-rich clay of the Limousin the house crafts dinnerware prized on the world’s finest tables — the sculpted white relief of Ecume, the gilded grandeur of Louvre and Constance, the sunlit hues of Sol and Dune, and the gold-branched birdsong of Aux Oiseaux. Bernardaud is equally celebrated for bringing artists to porcelain: Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Jeff Koons and Sarkis have all created editions in Limoges white gold. Beyond the table, lithophane votivelights, vases and lamps carry the same luminous craftsmanship through the home.

Bernardaud is the family-owned porcelain house of Limoges, France. It was founded in 1863, took the Bernardaud name in 1900 and is led today by the fifth generation of the family. Its hard-paste Limoges porcelain is prized for its whiteness, translucency and strength, and its patterns range from formal gold-banded services to contemporary artist collaborations.
