Gien Oiseau Bleu Fruits
Oiseau Bleu Fruits is Isabelle de Borchgrave's second reading of her Oiseau Bleu pattern for Gien. The songbird still perches among branches over a soft blue geometric ground, but the design is brightened with fruit, cherries, figs, strawberries and blackberries, painted in natural color. The two patterns are made to be combined, the monochrome for calm and the fruit version for a burst of color at the center of the table.
Gien Oiseau Bleu Fruits are French faience by Gien, made in the town of Gien on the Loire since 1821.
