The Saint-Louis Royal Vase is a crystal vase by Cristallerie Saint-Louis, the French crystal manufacture founded in 1586 in Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche, in the Moselle region of France, where its crystal is still mouth-blown and hand-cut.
The Royal vase and votives are directly inspired by the timeless Saint Louis chandeliers that appeared in the mid-19th century, the result of the crystal maker's incomparable expertise. Here, a charming declination in miniature. Saint-Louis' bestseller and iconic collection of timeless lighting fixtures, it is now being deployed as a matter of course in new universes. New objects emerge from it: lamps, boxes, vases... further expanding the range of possibilities. For example, chandelier wicks are transformed into acid-colored dishes and boxes. This collection is characterized by a distinctive pierrerie cut (also known as large diamonds).
