Gien Pivoines Bleues

Pivoines Bleues is the blue interpretation of Pivoines, the peony pattern Gien created in 1875. The monochrome blue treatment looks back to Japan, whose ceramics and prints were a lasting influence on the way Gien drew flowers and foliage in the 19th century. Like the original, it is part of the Prestige range: shaped and hand-painted at the manufactory, with every piece signed by its painter. It pairs naturally with Pivoines and Pivoines Vertes for a table built around one bouquet in three colors.

Gien Pivoines Bleues are French faience by Gien, made in the town of Gien on the Loire since 1821.
