Herend Golden Edge
The classic style of Herend Golden Edge celebrates the nobility and simplicity of luxury dinnerware. There is nothing more elegant than a dinner table set in pure white with gold accents.
Herend Golden Edge is white hand-made porcelain finished with a hand-painted gold rim. Herend porcelain has been made in Herend, Hungary since 1826.
Place settings
A Golden Edge place setting is built from the dinner plate, dessert plate and salad plate, with the bread and butter plate and a service plate beneath for formal dinners. The Herend Golden Edge dinner plate anchors the setting, and the crescent salad plate sits beside it for salads or sides. For soup, choose the rim soup plate, the scalloped dinner bowl or the cream soup cup and stand, then finish with the tea cup and saucer, or the after-dinner cup and saucer for coffee.
Serving pieces
Serving pieces include platters in 13", 15" and 17" lengths, the oval vegetable dish, round bowl, square salad bowl and a small covered vegetable dish, the gravy boat with fixed stand, and tureens with branch handles. Trays come in several shapes (ribbon, scallop, round with handles and rectangular with branch handles), alongside a chop plate and a square cake plate with handles.
Tea, coffee and small gifts
The pattern also covers teapots, creamers, sugar bowls and a coffeepot, plus smaller pieces that make easy gifts: the honey pot with rose, twin salt and salt and pepper shakers, coasters, butter dishes, square, triangle and oval dishes, vases and cachepots.
Caring for Golden Edge
Gold rims are best washed by hand with a mild detergent and a soft cloth, and pieces with gold should never go in the microwave. Every piece is sold individually, so a service can grow over time or a single piece can be replaced.
White and gold sits easily under Herend's painted patterns. See all Herend dinnerware patterns or Herend porcelain.
