Gien Le Jardin du Palais
Le Jardin du Palais is a collaboration between two houses of the Comité Colbert, the association of French luxury makers and cultural institutions: the Faïencerie de Gien and the textile and wallpaper house Pierre Frey. Pierre Frey's archive of prints supplies the imagery, an eclectic garden in vivid colors with finely worked detail, and Gien reproduces it on its scalloped white faience. The collection reads as a journey through a palace garden and pairs well with the plain Filets.
Gien Le Jardin du Palais is French faience by Gien, made in the town of Gien on the Loire since 1821.
