Herend Blue Garland
The Blue Garland design was introduced in 1890 by Jeno Farkashazy, grandson of the founder of Herend. The origins of the motif itself were said to be a favorite of Marie-Antoinette. With its subtle blue floral design, this collection is one of Herend collector favorites to this day. For those looking for something colorful but subtle, the Blue Garland Dinnerware is one of the collections to consider.
Blue Garland dinnerware
Herend Blue Garland dinnerware includes the dinner plate, dessert plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate and rim soup plate, with the tea cup and saucer, teapot, creamer and covered sugar for tea. For serving there are the round bowl and the oval vegetable dish. Every piece is painted by hand in Herend, Hungary, and sold individually.
Blue Garland gifts
Blue Garland also works well for gifts: boxes (a ring box, petite octagonal box, oval box with rose, heart box with bunny and rectangular box), bud vases in several shapes, openwork baskets, bonbon and leaf dishes, small trays, a coffee mug, coaster and ring holder, and a baby shoe keepsake for a christening or a new baby.
