Haviland Care Guide

Haviland porcelain is made at the manufactory in Limoges, France, and most of its decorations are applied entirely by hand. They are made to be used every day, and a few simple habits, with a gentle touch, keep the porcelain and its decoration bright for many years.

Everyday cleaning

• Haviland recommends washing its pieces by hand with a microfiber sponge.
• However you wash them, wipe each piece afterward with a soft, dry cloth to keep the porcelain and its decoration shining.

Dishwasher

• Haviland states that its decorations hold up to 500 machine washes in normal home use.
• Haviland strongly advises against the dishwasher for pieces with raised (relief) decoration or with gold or platinum incrustation. Wash those by hand.

Microwave

• White porcelain and decorations without precious metals can go in the microwave.
• Never microwave a piece decorated with gold, platinum or any other precious metal.
