Ginori 1735 Arte di Gio Ponti Prospettica Orcino Vase
The Ginori 1735 Arte di Gio Ponti Prospettica Orcino Vase is a porcelain vase from the Ginori 1735 Arte di Gio Ponti collection, made in Italy.
"Prospettica" Orcino vase in porcelain. Arte di Gio Ponti collection.
"Prospettica" is regarded as one of Gio Ponti's most modern and innovative creations. Conceptualized in 1925, it takes inspiration from classical antiquity and the rules of perspective in rendering an optical illusion with each cell of the pattern containing the depiction of a smaller vase to create an impression of relief, depth and originality. With their expertise, the master artisans and technicians of the Studio have transposed the motif into a contoured design, studying the adherence of the image to a complex form. The double-cut technique is used to decorate the piece by hand in order to maintain the same depth in the framing of the cells. Arte di Gio Ponti pays tribute to the renowned architect in an eclectic collection that commemorates the history of Ginori 1735 through the use of the artistic techniques that have made it world famous.
A Ginori 1735 vase is a distinctive Italian porcelain gift for a housewarming, wedding or birthday.
