Ginori 1735 Arte di Gio Ponti Stuoia 1923 Orcino Vase

The Ginori 1735 Arte di Gio Ponti Stuoia 1923 Orcino Vase is a porcelain vase from the Ginori 1735 Arte di Gio Ponti collection, made in Italy.

"Stuoia 1923" Orcino vase in porcelain. Arte di Gio Ponti collection.

"Stuoia 1923" reinterprets one of the decorative motifs created for the Studio by master Gio Ponti. First presented at the Monza Biennial in 1923, the woven pattern is one of the earliest designs created by the young Ponti. A composition of interlaced vertical yellow and horizontal turquoise bands, traversed lengthwise by black and orange strokes and placed against a black background wraps around the porcelain. Entirely decorated by hand using a highly complex technique, the Stuoia 1923 collection is also beautifully rendered on a sophisticated bowl. Arte di Gio Ponti embodies the excellence of the Florentine Maison in art pieces that relate the history of Ginori 1735 through the creative talent of the renowned architect.

A Ginori 1735 vase is a distinctive Italian porcelain gift for a housewarming, wedding or birthday.

About Ginori 1735

Ginori 1735 was founded in 1735 by Marquis Carlo Andrea Ginori in Doccia, near Florence, and is one of Europe's oldest porcelain manufacturers. Its pieces are still made and decorated at the Manifattura Ginori in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy; the architect Gio Ponti was its artistic director from 1923 to 1933.
